UFC Fight Night: Bonfim vs Brown

The UFC is back at the Apex this weekend, with two fighters looking to make their mark and move up the UFC rankings.

Brazilian fighter Gabriel Bofim is on a three-fight streak. His last loss was to Nicholas Dalby in 2024. His previous win was a split decision over veteran Stephen ‘Wonder Boy’ Thompson. Bonfim needs a decisive win over Brown if he is to move up the rankings.

His opponent, Randy Brown, is outside the top 15. After losing to Bryan Battle at UFC 310, Brown returned to the winners’ circle by defeating the same man who defeated Bonfim, Nicholas Dalby. Now that doesn’t mean that Brown should be able to beat Bonfim, because the beauty of MMA is that anything can happen in a fight.

In the co-main event, Matt Schnell takes on Joseph Morales in a Flyweight match-up. Schnell snapped a four-fight losing streak when he defeated Jimmy Flick via unanimous decision at UFC Fight Night: Machado Garry vs Prates. Racking up a six-fight win streak, Joseph Morales is looking to take a step forward in the Flyweight division, and a win over Matt Schnell does that.

According to Alexander Lee of Uncrowned MMA, two fights scheduled for the event have been cancelled. Middleweight Robert Valentin dropped out of his fight with Jackson McVey, while Adrian Yanez is out of his Bantamweight fight with Christian Quinonez.
